WORKSHOPS
Workshops are offered periodically. In 2010, we did two workshops in London—in March, at The Hoxton Hotel, and, in September, at Dragon Hall. See the Dragon Hall workshop here! In spring 2011, we did a workshop in Silver Spring, MD, just outside Washington, D.C., at Pyramid Atlantic and another in Watertown, MA in fall 2011. Check the UPCOMING page in the drop-down menu for new workshops!

Drawing Out Creativity Workshop—
In the workshop we use drawing in a yogic way to observe our minds and connect with our true creativity—that which is unique to us. The workshop consists of a series of sequential exercises designed to lead us towards deep focus and into our observer minds. We learn to liberate the mind from repetitive and inhibiting thought, and how to recognize inspiration and act on it immediately to enter the creative flow with ease. What you learn in the workshop you’ll be able to use over and over again.
We end each workshop with a writing exercise to process our own creative goals.
The workshop expands on the concepts outlined in my book, The Confident Creative—Drawing to Free the Hand and Mind, published 2010 and a gold medal winner of a 2011 Nautilus Book Award.
The workshops are supportive, energizing and fun. They’re designed for anyone who wishes to accelerate their creative growth, establish a creative practice and/or dive into drawing. Everyone can draw! No prior experience is necessary. We’re all creative and meant to share our creativity in the world! This is a whole new way of drawing— non-judgmental, exploratory and experimental.
“Once we know how to connect with our true creative selves, we can enter the state of flow with ease. I truly look forward to seeing and working with you!” ~Cat

Most workshops take place in my studio at The Arsenal Center for the Arts, a beautiful art center located in Watertown, Ma, situated in a spacious park on the banks of the Charles River. It’s fifteen minutes from downtown Boston and ten minutes from Harvard Square, Cambridge. Watertown has many fine restaurants with two on the site of the art center—Panera [coffee, sandwiches, soups and salads] and Casa de Pedro [excellent Venezuelan cuisine]. The art center is accessible via bus from Harvard Square. Ample parking on site.
