ABOUT
I‘m an artist and writer. I also teach drawing as a way to meet the creative self within.
I’ve been an artist for over thirty years now. My illustrations have appeared in many newspapers and magazines including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, The Baltimore Sun and Time Magazine. I’ve also made short animations for CBC-Sesame Street, Nickelodeon TV and various non-profits.
I make art. I’ve exhibited in Boston, New York, Montreal and Tokyo. To see some art, go to—www.catbennettart.com
I write. My book—The Confident Creative / Drawing to Free the Hand and Mind is published by Findhorn Press 2010. It won a gold medal in the 2011 Nautilus Book Awards. Everyone can draw and everyone can use the practice of drawing to grow awareness of the creative self within. Drawing offers us a chance to be fully present and explore visual expression. It can also help us find our true creative selves again so we can bring our creativity into the whole of our lives and into the world. Buy on Amazon.
Present projects: a series of illustrated children’s books.
You can join me on The Confident Creative Facebook.
My articles have appeared in The Huffington Post, The American, Yoga Magazine, Red and many others.
