ABOUT

I‘m an artist and writer. I also teach drawing as a way to meet the creative self within all of us.  My illustrations have appeared in many newspapers and magazines including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, The Baltimore Sun and Time Magazine.  I’ve also made short animations for CBC-Sesame Street, Nickelodeon TV and various non-profits. I’ve exhibited my art in Boston, New York, Montreal and Tokyo.  To see my art, go to—www.catbennettart.com

My book—The Confident Creative / Drawing to Free the Hand and Mind is published by Findhorn Press. Everyone can draw and everyone can use the practice of drawing to grow awareness of the creative self within and confidence in creative ability. Whether we are artists. musicians, writers, filmmakers or gardeners, homemakers, students or business people, we can all draw and find presence, pleasure and freedom in the act of drawing that we can bring into the whole of our lives. The book gives simple drawing techniques to grow skills and yogic techniques to bring awareness to the mind and its infinite potential. The book is based on the class that I teach and is filled with exploratory art by students and 12 professional artists. Buy on Amazon.
