Bell Tower Art Show 2
Posted on | October 13, 2009 |
This Saturday, October 17th, we’ll have a second open house for the art show at Bell Tower Place in Watertown, MA. There are 13 artists participating—all very different and all accomplished. I think it’s a really interesting show. It’s open to the public—come one and all!

Other news—Thierry Bogliolo, the publisher sent the digital file for my book, The Confident Creative, off to the printer in China on the weekend, earlier than planned so that it can get sent to various book review organizations by their deadlines. This means I am TRULY officially DONE!! And very happy to be so. It was a very, very satisfying project and I especially enjoyed getting all the art for the book. Some of the artists in the book are in the Bell Tower show as well—Yuko Adachi, Aparna Agrawal, Lyn Angermeier, Michael Crockett, Susy Pilgrim Waters, Deborah, Putnoi, Julia Talcott and Kaetlyn Wilcox. I wish there’d been time to bring art in from the artists who live further afield, including Kathy Todd and Katherine Dunn.
Other good news—the publisher has sold the book to a French Press which is in the process of translating it. I wonder how some of my American slang will translate or if they’ll get the bit I wrote about doubt being the Al Capone of artistic endeavor! Should be interesting! Thierry is also taking the book to the Frankfurt Book Fair next week. I think the Germans will love it. Onwards! And a heads up to all the artists—the book should bring some good attention their way! All the websites are listed in the back.
I’m almost ready to start something new. It’s percolating time. Am just letting the thoughts come and go. Getting a few errands done. Reading. Haven’t had any down time in a long while. I may even rake a few leaves in our tiny plot—they’re just beginning to fall. Long winter ahead but right now a sweet interlude.

Don’t worry. I was just there for a little while. You can come see the day we take it down in December, if you like.
